My favorite type of oyster was the krab baked and my boyfriend's was the chipotle baked. The chipotle baked had a kick and was a bit spicy for me. My boyfriend got the crab dip where I wasn't a big fan of and kinda reminded me of a tuna dip but it was still good! They also have a cute little photobooth in the restaurant
Great Oysters! I love raw oysters, and Shuckums has great ones. Also I tried the coconut shrimp & they were excellent too. Hubby cant eat oysters so he had Philly Cheese sandwich & FF which were really good. We had to sit outside since we had our dog with us, but service was still good. It was very cool (Feb), so the ambiance was "cool & windy". There was a covered patio that was more protected but for some reason we were not permitted to sit there. But if you LOVE raw oysters this is your place!
We saw a commercial during our winter stay for Shuckums ,with the slogan We Shuck Um you Suck'um pretty much sealed the deal for us on taking a 45 minute drive into Panama City Beach this afternoon. The service was great. We walked in and we were greeted right away. Our waiter Joe or Joel introduced himself to us right away and took our drink order while we looked over the menu. For food we got the grilled shrimp dinner and my friend got the pick your own oysters. I got my shrimp grilled with fries and came with 2 delicious hush puppies. My shrimp were seasoned perfectly and were the perfect amount. My friend got the PC, Cajun, and the bacon oysters. She couldn't pick a favorite since they were all really good. The ambiance is super causal and dollar bills stapled to the ceiling. I can only imagine how loud , busy, and fun this place would be over spring break and summer vacation.
This will always be our Wednesday night spot! The service is always amazing and the food never disappoints. Rather you want a date night spot, somewhere to bring the family, or just grab a drink at the bar, this is for sure the place!
Shuckums is one of those rare places where the food and beer are good, but it's the EXPERIENCE that you remember and keeps bringing you back. When my Sigma Chi pledge brother and I walked in on the second day they were open in the spring of 1982, Mack and Johnny were behind the counter profusely shucking and were throwing funny insults at every person that walked in, which endeared the customers. Mack let me staple my freshman college ID on the wall at the table by the front door. Having visited "dozens" of times through the decades, it seems that they have maintained that welcoming atmosphere with consistently beautiful, sexy oysters. I always visit when I get back down to feel at home! Go DAWGS!!
Amazing happy hour and grilled seafood platter. Very efficient staff. They have a cool system so you can see where you are in the cue. Friendly staff. Oyster shuckers were awesome! Dive bar atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing.
Fun decor and friendly servers. Nice selection on the menu. Had the card cakes and crab bisque. All very good. Hush puppies were also crunch on the out with dog on the inside. Had a mixed drink, the bar tender was very generous...
